About Time Bank

Time Banking is a way for people to come together and help each other by exchanging knowledge, help and skills.

By helping someone do some gardening, walk their dog, water their plants etc. etc. you get an hour’s time credit which you can then use to get something back. That may be help to write a CV, learning how to hem a skirt, someone picking up a loaf of bread, getting a haircut or gaining some computer skills.

Everyone’s time is equal, so one hour of my time is equal to one hour of your time, irrespective of whatever we choose to exchange. We are also partners with Cambridgeshire Time credits. Any time earn volunteering with our Timebank can be exchanged into Tempo Time credit vouchers and spent at a range of locations locally and nationally!

However it’s not just about giving and receiving. Time Banking is also about bringing people together to build a stronger, safer and happier community.

We have regular coffee mornings, crafts and workshops, knitting groups, gardening get togethers. We also provide digital help for those with less confidence in using their devices. We are open to suggestions for clubs or groups to set up.

If all this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in or you know of someone who may enjoy meeting new people, please contact us
